Winter Adventures in Bishop, CA

Bouldering
If you’re into bouldering, then you know that the Buttermilks is one of the best places to boulder. So grab your crash pad and head over to the Buttermilks.
Snowshoeing
A quick drive up the 168 will give you lots of places you can go snowshoeing. South Lake road is a great place to start and one of our favorites.
Cross-Country Skiing
Similar terrain to snowshoeing, the cross-country skiing is endless in Bishop. Grab your snowshoeing friends and go together!
Sledding
There are so many great sledding hills around Bishop. Some of our favorites are Intake II and Deadman Summit. We also recommend using an innertube for a smoother and faster ride!
Skiing or Snowboarding
With Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain only an hour drive away, you can’t beat these two mountains in California. Enjoy the day skiing or snowboarding.
Hot Springs
Warm up after your day of skiing or snowshoeing at a natural hot spring. Keough’s is a great place to go with a small hot pool and a large warm pool.
